Yamaha's Romain Couprie Wins & USA Motoworks Team Podiums
Jeremie Warnia, Josh Frederick, Dillon Zimmerman Podium at Pont de Vaux


Pont de Vaux, France (8/23/2010) – The 24th Annual Maxxis 12 Hours of Ponte de Vaux in France was held his weekend, and two USA teams made the trip across the Atlantic to compete with Can-Am / Motoworks (Jeremie Warnia, Josh Frederick, Dillon Zimmerman) claiming the second spot on the Podium after a third stage win, and the FRE / KTM team were back again with Bryan Cook, Shane Hitt, and Josh Upperman finishing eight overall after an early charge for a podium finish

Both the USA Teams came out swinging in practice with the pair going 1-2 in time qualifiers with FRE/ KTM claiming the pole position start with the fastest time followed by the Motoworks / Can-Am Team with times nearly 2 seconds faster than than third place with 107 teams competing.

Both Can-Am & KTM finished on the lead lap in stage one with 3rd & 4th place finishes, but in the second sesssion of the race, both teams lost some ground finishing outside the top five with Motoworks taking 6th followed by KTM with 9th.

In the final session, the Motoworks / Can-Am Team came on strong to claim the session win, which boosted them to a 2nd place overall finish, and the KTM team finished back in 16th, which secured them a top ten finish with 8th overall out of 107 teams.

Congratulations goes out to the team lead by Romain Couprie for claiming the overall win for his second win in three years, and joining him on the team where Paul Holmes and Joe Maessen. The final podium spot went to the all french team of Mathieu Ternynck and Clément Jay.
