Limb, TN (6/16/2011)
– Round 3 of the OMA Pro-ATV Nationals kicked
off in Hanging Limb Tennessee. On and off rain
the couple of days before made for some good trails
and no dust for the racers to contend with.

Bo Jones took the holshot aboard his Dirtworks
Motosports KTM 450 XC ATV |
As the Green flag waved it was Dirtworks Motorsports/Ottway
Signs backed Bo Jones snatching the $100.00 FMF
Holeshot followed by a slew of riders that made
the trek to Tennessee to fight it out through
the hills and rocks of the Hangman XC. Lurking
behind Jones off the start was the KTM mounted
Aarol Bright and Team Epic Racings Duncan Racing/Dirtworks
Motorsports/Bosch Tools Bryan Hulsey followed
by Teammate Hiper Wheels/Ve Rubber Tires mounted
John Pitts. Near the halfway point of the first
lap, KTM/Flexx Handlebars Aarol found a line around
leader Jones when he snagged a tree and tried
to distance himself from the chasing pack. John
Pitts also made a new line on a sudden downhill
and moved his Barnett/Spider Graphics machine
ahead of his teammate Bryan Hulsey.

Pro ATV Points Leader John Pitts placed
second at Hang Man XC aboard his Honda TRX450R

As Maier Plastics/Moose Racing‘s/EBC Brakes
Pitts then tried to catch the lead duo of Bright
and Jones, Hulsey found himself struggling with
a case of arm pump and had to try to fend off
another attack which came from Phillip Wall. Wall
made his way around Hulsey for fourth. As the
end of lap one came to a close, GBC Tires/Scott
Goggles Aarol Bright lead Bo Jones by a slim 5
seconds and Blingstar/Liqiud Performance supported
Pitts had closed in on Jones’s grab bar
and started to apply the pressure. Smith Goggles/RK
Chains/Precision Stabilizers sponsored Bryan Hulsey
started to loosen up and found a line back around
Phillip Wall and finished lap one back up in fourth
with Chris Moore taking advantage of a mistake
by Wall and finished the first lap in fifth and
Wall shuffled to sixth.
Lap two saw Quadtech/Motion Pro/Powermadd supported
John Pitts make his move on Taylor’s Signs
sponsored Bo Jones for second and start to chase
the leader Bright. Hot Cams/Hot Rods/Pivotworks’s
Bryan Hulsey also was catching up as he closed
in on third place Bo Jones at the end of lap 2,
however a snag in a rocky section with a lapped
rider would have Hulsey off of his bike and pulling
it back onto the track only to have to play catch
up again until he could finally make the pass
for the final podium position on lap 3.
“I had kind of a rough day today starting
with arm pump on the first lap and falling back
so far. Then there was a rocky section that I
had trouble with and lost some time almost every
lap it seemed like. I found out afterwards that
Aarol and John had a sweet line around that rock
section that I guess I never saw. I needed to
be up there with them, no excuses today I just
didn’t have it and they did”, said
a slightly disappointed Maxima Oils/Rekluse Clutches/ODI
grips backed Hulsey.
