NEATV-MX - New England ATV Motocross Series

NEATV-MX Racing ATV Motocross Race Report
::Continued::

Whitcher Racing / BCS Performance / Can-Am’s Travis Moore came into this round with a double points leads in the Pro and Pro-Am classes and was able to hang onto both of them, however doing much better in the Pro class. Moore came off the line for Pro moto one with a fifth place start and was forced to work his way around to the position he wanted. Moore first worked his way around Jon Hansen and then set his sights on Jayden Hickson and Michael Bluy.

Fortunately for Moore, he was able to find the lines and work his way past both of these riders and try to focus on the rear number plate of Young. Moore had Young within striking distance but the laps ran out too soon in the favor of Young who held onto the lead, keeping Moore in second place.

DWT / Fly Racing / FMF’s Travis Moore came out of the holeshot for the second Pro moto with a third place spot just behind Michael Bluy and Preston Young who secured the lead. Moore was in a much better position for this moto and was prepared to battle the muddy course. After coming into the first lap with a third place position, Moore worked on taking over second place from Bluy and was able to accomplish this within the first portion of the race. Unfortunately for Moore, the gap was just too large between himself and Young who went on to secure the win with Moore finishing again in second place going 2-2 for second overall.

DASA / PEP / 834 Motorsports’ Jon Glynn has been a strong runner up all season to the Pro podium and this weekend at Capeway proved his worth. Glynn was able to finish on the podium in third place after going 3-3 on the day despite coming out of the holeshots near the rear of the pack in both motos.

Pro moto one for Glynn started out roughly but he proved why he’s in the Pro class by finding fast lines and passing his way up through the pack. Glynn battled first with Cody Paolella and Jared Gessner and was able to get by both of them quickly. Glynn then pursued the front leaders Young and Moore and got around both Hickson and then Bluy to finish the eight lap moto in third place.

Jon Glynn went 3-3 to earn the final spot on the Pro Podium

Troy Lee Designs / Walsh / SSi Decal’s Jon Glynn had another rough go off from the holeshot of Pro moto two getting washed to the outside in the sloppy conditions, forcing him to remove every one of his tear-offs from his goggles. Even after this hard start, Glynn worked his way up to another third place finish in the same fashion that he was able to do the first moto. After going 3-3 on the day for third place overall, Glynn’s championship points standings were greatly improved after this weekend and he remains in the hunt for the rest of the season.
