Lyman, ME - The eighth round of the NEATV-MX series revisited the popular MX207 Track. With blue skies and warm temperatures, Saturday was the perfect day at the track. However, race day was anything but perfect. Rain fell throughout the night causing the track to become very mucky and slick. Race day saw overcast skies all day with misting off and on throughout the first motos. By the second motos, the one lined track began to become less sloppy and the misting stopped, leaving overcast and a cool breeze. A light turnout of both riders and spectators was seen this weekend. Most classes had a few less riders than usual, including the Pro, which held the top three riders in points, and Pro-Am, which held only 5 riders.

Motoworks/DWT/Can-Am Josh Creamer shot off the line taking the Nac’s Holeshot in the first Pro moto. Once Creamer was out in front, he began to distance himself from the two other Pro riders. The sloppy track didn’t seem to faze Creamer as he rode strong and hard throughout the first moto, taking the win.

Josh Creamer - Can-Am DS450 Motoworks / DWT ATV Motocross Racing
Fox Racing's Josh Creamer went 1-1 in the Pro Class for the overall win

In the second Pro moto, Creamer came out in front, claiming the Nac’s Holeshot again, and battling with Dustin Wimmer for first part of the second moto. Creamer wouldn’t allow Wimmer to get by, and held onto his position, finishing first. Creamer would take the overall win in the Pro class.

Dustin Wimmer - Suzuki LTR450 ATV Motocross Racing

#191 Dustin Wimmer went 2-2 for 2nd Overall

Suzuki LTR 450/Fox Shocks mounted Dustin Wimmer started his first Pro moto in second behind Creamer. Wimmer pushed hard through the muddy track, with Creamer close in sight. “This track was really one lined, which made it difficult for passing,” stated Wimmer. Unable to make any passes in the one lined track, Wimmer finished second.

The second Pro moto, Wimmer started off in the third behind the two other riders, Creamer and Cody Miller. Wimmer put down the pressure on Miller throughout the entire second moto. Wimmer was able to make a pass and hunt down Creamer, but was unable to get close enough to make a pass and would finish second in the second moto, resulting in a second overall finish in the Pro class.

Cody Miller - Can-AM DS450 ATV

BCS Performance's #22 Cody Miller finished 3-3 for 3rd Overall

BCS Performance/Can-Am Cody Miller started off the first Pro moto in third behind Wimmer and Creamer. Miller stayed close with Wimmer for most of the first moto, but wasn’t close enough to make any moves. He would take third in the first moto.

Miller had a better start in the second Pro moto in second behind fellow Can-Am rider, Josh Creamer. With Wimmer putting on the pressure, Miller tried to hold him off for as long as he could. Miller was passed by Wimmer early in the moto and would take third, resulting in a third overall in the Pro class.

Josh Creamer - Can-Am DS450 Motoworks / DWT ATV Motocross Racing

Josh Creamer ran his AMA Pro ATV Champoinship #1 plate on his Can-Am DS450 in the Pro-Am Race claiming the Moto One Win

2010 AMA ATV MX National Champion Josh Creamer started off the first Pro-Am moto in second behind Cody Miller, but was able to make quick work on Miller and take over the lead. Once out in front, Creamer began to gain distance from the other riders, and would make no mistakes. Creamer commented, “I was able to make quick work on Miller in the S turns, and ran a good race.”Creamer took first in the first Pro-Am moto.

The second moto, Creamer charged off the line side by side with Wimmer, and took the Nac’s Holeshot. Passed by Wimmer on the first jump, Creamer would apply the pressure and ride hard to try to make a move. Creamer was breathing down Wimmer’s back, but was unable to get by, taking second in the second moto. Creamer would finish with a first overall in the Pro-Am class.
