Lyman, ME (5/19/2009) -Round
two of the NEATV Motocross series got off to a
muddy start, but that didn’t stop Kawasaki
Monster Energy’s Josh Creamer from taking
a double Pro and Pro-am win while KTM North America’s
Nate Morello finished in a close second.
Rain fell Saturday night into Sunday morning
but let up shortly before the first Pro moto
was about to begin, much to the relief of many
racers. Although the rain had stopped, puddles
and mud were plentiful, which would mean those
who were out front would have the advantage
of clear vision.

Despite
the wet conditions a fair amount of racers
& spectators came out for Round 2
of the NEATV-MX Series at MX 207, and
the U.S. ARMY was also in attendance with
a rock climbing wall to provide some fun
and bragging rights among those in attendance |
In the first Pro moto, Nate Morello was the
lucky one to grab the holeshot, but Josh Creamer
quickly worked through the pack and was hot
on his heals waiting for an opportunity to make
a move. Creamer stayed right on Morello and
in lap seven, Morello made a slight mistake
and Creamer was right there to capitalize on
it and take over the lead. “I would close
in on him in the corners and let him know I
was there, and then in the next to last lap
Morello make a mistake and I got in under him
and took over the lead,” said Josh Creamer
who walked away with the moto on win.

In Pro moto two, Creamer once again got off
to a mid pack start and quickly worked his way
up. After a brief battle with Morello a few
laps in, Creamer took over the lead and held
his position all the way to the finish line,
to take the moto and overall Pro win.

Nate Morello came on strong on his KTM taking
the holeshot in both Pro moto one and two. In
moto one, Morello held the lead for six laps
despite some serious pressure from Josh Creamer.
“In the next to last lap I made a mistake
on a slippery berm and bobbled a bit and Josh
saw the opportunity to pass me and took it,”
said Morello, who finished in a close second
place behind Creamer in moto one.
Moto two, Morello was out front again off the
start and held his lead for a few laps before
Josh Creamer once again began to apply the pressure
and took over the lead. Morello finished once
again in second place, which gave him a respectable
second overall in the Pro class.
