NE EDT Racing Round 1 - Ironclad Kinston, North Carolina April 29, 2016

The Pro Lite class was action-packed as well for the opener at Ironclad Motorsports! Bryan Robertson put his Element44 KTM into the early lead and fought hard while up front and defended charges from Earnhardt Racing's Sam Jones who was in second place while Matt Schaeffer Construction teammates Matt Schaeffer and Tyler Deister battled as well for third and fourth place positions.

Robertson kept his head down however and never gave an inch to the rest of the pack and went on to take the win. Jones and Schaeffer rounded out the podium in second and third places respectively and are off to a great start for their seasons! Tyler Deister, racing for the first time on a Polaris Outlaw MXR450, put in a great showing for the first round bringing home fourth place in the main event. Deister was followed by Cole Stearns who also rode very cleanly and smart to bring home an impressive top five finish to kickstart his season as well.

In the 25+ class, Extreme Dirt Sports / Roberts Racing / Hoosier’s Robert Lobello came on strong immediately and snagged the holeshot to propel himself into the lead followed by HP Racing’s Aaron Raibel and Schaeffer Excavating’s Matt Schaeffer. Lobello proved he deserved to be the front runner as he fended off any challenge that came his way to stay out front and take the win. Raibel and Schaeffer also battled it out for the remainder of the event amongst the rest of the pack and snagged up the remaining podium spots available.
