                              (6/29/2012) –
Clear blue skies and beautiful mid 80’s weather
welcomed the North East Extreme Dirt Track ATV racers
to the Batavia Motor Speedway for round 3 of the
                              series.

                                          | | | During the riders meeting, a few ground
rules were laid out by NEEDT President Eric Jennings
of ESJ Graphics as well as track committee member
Don Jones, who also races in the series. It was
the NEEDT’s first time coming to Batavia
for the 2012 season and safety was a key topic
during the rider’s meeting. There was a
discussion of option lanes whether they should
be removed or not and in the end, they were elected
to stay. This would provide some options for the
racers, both youth and pro to mix it up a bit
during the course of their heats and mains.

                                  | #3 Andrew Evanyke won NEEDT Pro-Am
Heat 1 aboard his Honda 450R ATV | In the first Pro-Am heat the number 3 of Factory
ESJ Graphics Andrew Evanyke would come out swinging
on his TRX450R and lay down some very quick time
to take the win and put in a solid bid for himself
                                in the upcoming main event.

Brian Ace took the Pro-Am Heat 2 win on
                                      his Honda 450R ATV | Tru-Way
Racing's Kris Bures placed second in Pro-Am
Heat 2 | Heat two of Pro-Am would see the number 338 of
Rockstar / Hellbound / Roberts Racing Honda backed
Brian Ace charging hard to the front of the pack
to go on and take the win. However, Ace was not
allowed to just walk to the front. The number
21 of Kris “Tiffer” Bures was right
up Ace’s exhaust pipe the entire time edging
in on the fellow Honda rider any chance he could
get. Tiffer would settle for second place followed
by Evanyke and in fourth place Kawasaki mounted
Justin Frindt would bring home a solid run. The final Pro-Am heat would be a walk in the
park for Yamaha mounted Eric Jennings. Jenning
would rip out and take the holeshot on his Factory
ESJ Graphics/Roberts Racing / Toyota Yamaha. He
would then continue to lay down the rubber on
the slick Batavia track to come away with the
                                checkered flag.

Brian Ace grabbed the Pro-Am Main Holeshot
on his Baldwin Motorsports Honda 450R ATV | In the Pro-Am main, Brian Ace showed everyone
his rear grab bar as he ripped hard out of the
blue-grooved holeshot and came away with the $100
Dent Builders holeshot award. The number 32x of
Alex Ross came off the line in second followed
by none other than number 401 Eric Jennings. Ace
would continue to lead as the battle ensued behind
him. Jennings would pour on the coal and get around
Ross within the first lap. The true battle would
begin to heat up as Jennings put his crosshairs
on the rear of the Hellbound Honda mounted Brian
Ace. Jennings and Ace would battle with each other
for nearly 10 full laps as the track broke in
                                slowly lap after lap. |
