Nathan Wolff Takes MW EDT Pro-Am Win & Points Lead
::Continued::

In Pro Am, Wolff won the main and, combined with a sixth-place effort by Hibdon, took over the Pro Am points lead. After just missing the holeshot, Wolff passed Peterson in the sixth lap and never looked back. Rath was second, followed by Peterson.

“Hoosier got me off the line and we missed the holeshot by just a foot to Taylor,” said Wolff. “I snuck around him in the option lanes after six laps. From there, I just rode all the way to the end. This moves me up in the points and we’re going to keep working. We have two more rounds in Oklahoma and we’ll see how it plays out. Daryl’s team did a really good job on the track. The layout was really nice and it provided for side-by-side racing. I was able to make passes and move to the front.”

Rath had trouble at the start, but rebounded during the late stages of the event. He moved from seventh to second in the final order. “I got bumped around at the start and we didn’t get away cleanly,” said Rath. “The bike was awesome, the option lanes worked well for me and we just picked our way to the front. It was awesome.”

#67 Daryl Rath was on a roll at his hometown track by taking an impressive 2nd place finish in the Pro-Am class

Peterson’s holeshot was likely a highlight of his one racing weekend of the year. “The track was great,” said Peterson. “I have to thank Daryl and boys for making it. This is my one and only race of the year, so I’m pretty proud of how it went. Daryl is a friend of mine, and I just had to come out here.”

#28 Taylor Peterson scored a podium finish in the Pro-Am Class

Hibdon had trouble in both his heat and the main, finishing sixth in both. He knows the title chase will come down to the final two races of the year, but with just four points separating him from Wolff, it is still very much anyone’s game.

Josh Hibdon MW EDT Racing
#24 Josh Hibdon had his fair share of struggles in the Pro-Am races, which dropped him out of the points lead by just 4 points, which will make for an exciting season finale double header in Oklahoma

“Pro-Am tonight just did not work out for me,” said Hibdon. “I got pushed out in the first corner and came out eighth in the heat. Once I worked my way up to sixth, I just couldn’t go any further. I started on the back row in the main. I worked my way up to sixth, tangled with the guy in front of me, fell back to tenth and then drove back up to sixth. It’s going to be really tight going into the doubleheader in Oklahoma.”

The MWEDT season finale, a doubleheader weekend at Muskogee, OK, is scheduled for September 10-11th. With 70 points up for grabs, both Hibdon and Wolff will be vying for the title in both Pro and Pro Am.
