Martinsville, IN (5/22/2012)
– The 2012 AMA MAXC ATV / UTV Racing series
settled its sights on a venue change that would
add to the series yet another challenge as round
two would see Martinsville Indiana host the
second round of competition. This race would
mark the make update for the MAXC round 1 that
got rained out. The 7 mile course would find
itself rooted solidly in the woods with very
little field sections which played well due
to the regions lack of rainfall. The deceiving
Indiana terrain opened itself up to one challenging
course that would greet the series 425 entries
at this round.

AA Quad would see the 2012 GNCC XC2 Champion
Walker Fowler make his second appearance this
season aboard his Ballance Racing Yamaha and
quickly became the rider in charge after Ryan
Lane secured the holeshot. Fowler charged
ahead and took over the lead after battling
his way from a mid pack start. Fowler exclaimed
from the podium that while the course was
tight, he was able to find many lines which
allowed him to keep moving forward and take
the win, his second in the series this season.

Finishing second to Fowler, Kevin Cunningham
would put in an impressive ride as he worked
his way to the front and shadowed Fowler the
entire race. While Fowler was unable to put
distance between Cunningham, the same racing
conditions made for closing the gap on Fowler
difficult. Cunningham would find the checkered
flag 48 seconds after the leader.

Motorsports' Ryan Lane grabbed the early
lead by taking the holeshot. Lane would
round out the AA Class podium in third |
Ryan Lane fired his DC Motorsports Honda
to life and streaked to the first turn, securing
the holeshot and would set the pace early
on lap one. Lane put down a solid race that
held him in third place until the race ended.
