#19 Jason Dunkelberger claims makes his
Open Pro Class debut & claims his 1st
Overall win of the season |
The Open Pro class saw Jason Dunkleberger take the
moto one win and the overall. Dunk was second in
the holeshot behind Jeremie Warnia in the first
moto, but Warnia suffered another crash, allowing
Dunkleberger to take over the number one spot. Once
in the lead, Dunk began to pull away and held his
lead all the way to the checkered flag.
In moto two, Dunk would take the holeshot, but
loose that lead to Warnia. Dunkleberger’s
2-1 gave him the overall Open Pro win. “It
felt really good to come back from being injured
and take the win like that. We’ve been working
really hard on getting the bike dialed in and
I’ve been training hard as well and it is
definitely paying off,” said Dunk.

moto finish |
Kawasaki Mounted David Haagsma was looking smooth
and consistent as he raced his way to a 4-3 finish
that earned him the number two spot overall. MCR’s
Beau Baron was looking good in the Open Pro class
as well. Baron was in the top five off the line
in both motos and held on for a consistent 3-4 finish
that gave him third overall
Yamaha mounted Justin Waters was looking good as
he pulled a 6-6 finish to take fourth place overall,
while Francisco Ruano’s 5-8 had him rounding
out the top five.
Round six of the Yamaha ITP Quadcross series
will be heading to the notoriously rough Glen
Helen Raceway on August 9th, where Yamaha’s
Dustin Nelson and Can-Am Motoworks’s Jeremie
Warnia will be battling it out to see who will
