High
Lifter Mud Nationals Report
::Continued::
Friday’s highlight was the Can-Am Mud Bog, which draws in many competitors and spectators. There are several classes for the event including youth classes that run a smaller pit, and is what they started off with. AJ Capra grabbed wins in both the PeeWee and Youth classes, while Reed Tarter took the win in the early teen class.
The course for the full sized quads and SxS’s was quite a bit longer, but everyone looked like they were having a great time. In the 0-600cc class, Rodney White took the win aboard his Polaris Sportsman. The 600+cc class was quite competitive, but Ryan Hormell topped the podium with his Can-Am 800.

The RUV class had some great racing with Steve Hittle taking the win with his Can-Am Maverick for Team Gorilla. S3 Racing’s Shane Dowden claimed second with his Maverick, while Team Performance Powersports’ John Soileu, also in a Maverick, finished in third.

After Friday evening’s storms, cooler, dry weather moved in for Saturday’s Polaris Mudda Cross event. The Mudda Cross is one of the most popular events at the Mud Nationals and had many ATV and SxS participants ready to get down and dirty. The circle track includes varying heights of dirt underneath the water and can be best explained as racing motocross under water.
