Team
Jack's Execavating piloted their Can-Am
Commander UTV to fourth place finish in
the Open UTV Class |
Jack’s Excavating Team had Can-Am’s
Adam McGill in the passenger seat for a few laps,
which proved to be a very unique experience for
McGill, and one he will not soon forget. Giving
up control in a race situation proved to be quite
challenging and nerve wracking for McGill, who
was on pins and needles for the entire time he
was on board and gave a vivid recount of his experience
later in the evening during an interview that
had spectators and fans rolling with laughter.

Team
Galoping Zebra finished second in the 850
Modified SxS Class |
The Jack’s Excavating team was looking
good off the start as they were cruising in second
behind Team Yokely. The team was going by the
strategy that they would stay close to Yokely’s
team and make a move late in the race. That strategy
was working well until after a few laps when they
lost their power steering. The team pulled off
the track to try and fix the problem, but to no
avail and would run the entire race with no power
steering causing quite a rough time for the driver.
They would eventually finish in seventh overall
and take fourth in the Open class.
A-Team Racing was looking good as they took third
in the 850 Limited class and would finish in eighth
overall, with fellow 850 Limited racers, CSI Racing
taking ninth overall and fourth in their class.
The Galloping Zebra team would round out the top
ten overall and finish in a respectable second
in the 850 Modified class.

Commander UTV. Team Penland finished the
day fifth in the Open UTV Class |
Can-Am’s Mike Penland was on hand to take
part in the races. This was the first time that
Penland would put his Can-Am Commander on the
track as he was trying to get in some seat time
in preparation for the next GNCC race where he
will racing in the UTV classes. Penland had a
great time and took a fifth place finish in the
Open class.
