Millfield, OH (6/3/2013) –The third round of UTV racing took place at the AMSOIL Grand National Cross Country Wiseco John Penton in Millfield, Ohio. Team Can-Am / JB Racing’s Kyle Chaney took the UTV XC1 Modified win in his Can-Am Maverick 1000 X rs. Team Big Country Powersports/ Polaris and Team Jacks rounded out the UTV XC1 Modified podium in their Polaris RZR XP 900.

Kyle Chaney and co-pilot Denny Naiper put in an exciting race in their Team Can-Am / JB Off-road Can-Am Maverick 1000 X rs. Chaney started the Team Can-Am / JB Racing Maverick on the third line of the UTV XC 1 Modified class. He grabbed the Holeshot and quickly caught the second line. Chaney was in seventh on lap one and was charging hard to make up time on Team Big Country Powersports / Polaris, who was leading the class with a 23.609 second gap.
Chaney worked his way through the field on lap two. He made two impressive passes on the motocross track, one right before scoring and another coming up the last hill on the mx section of the track. Chaney was in second laps two through five on adjusted time. With two laps two go Chaney was physically behind the Coastal National Guard Team and knew with a time adjustment they were sitting in a good spot. He remained behind them until the checkers, but secured the class win with 05.547 to spare.

This marks Chaney’s first overall win in the Can-Am Maverick 1000 X rs at the GNCC. “It felt awesome to get the win. It’s been a long time coming. I knew I had the speed; we just had some bad luck. We’ve got our set up dialed in and I know that there are some more wins in our future,” said Chaney of the Team Can-Am / JB Racing first overall win this season.

Earning their second podium of the season is Team Big Country Powersports / Polaris. The team put their Polaris RZR XP 900 out front on lap one and started to gap the XC1 Modified class.
