                                  (4/28/2012) – The Mammoth round
of the 2012 GNCC racing series saw Maxxis’
#1 Chris Borich add another notch to his championship
belt as he played it smart in the tight technical
trails of the Park Mammoth Resort in Park City,
KY, and was joined on the podium by Yamaha/Ballance
Racing’s Walker Fowler, who grabbed the
holeshot and led most of the race, and Taylor
Kiser, who put up a good fight.

Round 5 of the 2012 Can-Am GNCC Series
was held at the all new "Mammoth"
in Park City, Kentucky just a few miles
from the door step of 9x GNCC Champion,
                                          Bill Ballance |

This was a new course for racers and it was
a much welcomed addition to the series. While
most found the technical trails to be fun
and challenging, others struggled to find
their pace. The weather was rather hot and
dry, which created some dust. The tough conditions
did not seem to matter to Chris Borich, however,
as he paced himself for most of the race and
came on strong in the final lap.

                                          Yoshimura's #1 Chris Borich battled
early on with Precision Racing's #2
Adam McGill for the 2nd spot while the
pair chased after Yamaha's #5 Walker
                                          Fowler in the lead |

Chris Borich, who was in the top five off
the start worked his way up and by the second
lap, had closed in on leader, Walker Fowler,
but Adam McGill had other plans and got around
Borich in lap three, dropping Borich to third.
However, Borich was playing his favorite game
of cat and mouse. In the fourth lap, Borich
overtook Adam McGill, when McGill encountered
                                    issues, and then he went after Walker Fowler;
and as usual, in the final lap, just before
the finish line, he took over the lead and
went on to claim his fourth win of the year.

with #3 Taylor Kiser in chase in the

“It was a great battle out there today.
I got a decent start and it was a technical
track so it was a lot of fun and I had a good
time. I was up there with McGill and Kiser
and then they dropped back a bit and it was
just Walker and I, and I saw an opportunity
to get by and figured I better take it while
I could. It was a good race and I’m
really happy to take another win,” said
                                    Borich.

After just five rounds of racing, Borich
has already established a dominant points
lead in the XC1 Pro ATV Class with a 49 point
lead over Adam McGill in the second spot as
all the top challengers have experience atleast
one bad race thus far this season, which has
allowed the ever consistent Borich to build
a substantial points lead this early in the
