2010 AMA Racing Extreme Dirt Track Nationals - TT ATV Racing Series

Wiseco's Chuckie Creech Wins the Pro-Am ATV Class
::Continued

PRO-AM ATV MAIN

In the Pro-Am main, #25 Chuckie Creech found himself on the lucky end of a deal which would involve a smash-up between a few other top 5 runners which would allow him to capitalize and come out on top. Within the first few laps Creech would put on some moves and head towards the front but would get tangled up with a few riders and drop back into the pack and be forced to work his way back up.

Brian Ace - Honda TRX450R ATV

HB Racing's #338 Brian Ace grabbed the Pro-Am Holeshot & he held the lead even after the restart, but he would tangle with #27 Brad Riley, which dropped him off the podium

“My Wiseco Honda ripped off the line and was running strong even though I was running in the back of the pack. From there I kept my head down and just kept a good pace after we got banged up in one of the last turns on the track. I worked my way up to 10th place and then the red flag came out with 10 laps to go. My Turtle engine worked awesome for this track and kept my Maxxis tires turning underneath me to hold off the rest of the pack. On the restart it was a key factor to getting me back up another 5 places to 5th place from where I was able to hang with the rest of the guys and then fell into place as other riders got together and dropped back. It feels awesome to be up here on top and I’m really looking forward to racing in Busco in a couple weeks!” said Creech.

Wiseco's #25 Chuckie Creech charged his way to the front of the pack & held off #27 Brad Riley to secure the Pro-Am class win

Maxxis’ Brad Riley would come off the line in second place, and even after all of the battles and crashes that would ensue, he ended walking away with a very solid second place overall finish as well.

Maxxis's #27 Brad Riley once again moved up through the pack & finished in the 2nd spot behind Creech
“Brian Ace and I were down in the back section and we got tangled up and let the rest of the pack by us. I put my head down and hammered my way back up to second by the time the flag flew,” said Riley.

Although Riley couldn't make the pass on Creech, he let him know he was there the entire time waiting for him to make a mistake. With a slick track at hand it was anyone’s game and Riley rode a very clean race to take away a respectable finish.

#708 Rage ATV’s Harold Goodman would find himself in unfamiliar territory starting in the sixth position after the restart which would involve a crash between #6 NEEDT’s Justin Frindt and #9 Victory Motorsport’s Brooks Williams. In true Goodman fashion, he would begin picking his way through the dense pack and work all the way up to third place before the checkers flew.

“My Honda was really solid and hooking up well but sometimes things just don’t work out as you plan them. I ended up working my way back through and coming away with a podium finish.” said and optimistic Goodman.

Factory ESJ owner #401 Eric Jennings was in top for the Pro-Am race as he put on a good showing with his Yamaha YFZ450. Eric would be able to hang out and do battle with the top 5 contenders and come away with a solid fourth place overall finish after taking a third in his heat race earlier in the day.

ESJ's #401 Eric jennings scored a 4th place finish in the Pro-Am Class

“The red flag really hurt me on this one because of my bike, my tires got really cold because of the weather we had that night and I was drained after the red flag because it was so long. I was in great position before that but I feel I would have been on the box otherwise. I’m happy with my top 5 and finish and glad to be out here racing,” said Jennings after the race

Fellow Factory ESJ and North East EDT racer, #3 Andrew Evanyke would also be a fast contended during the Pro-Am race coming away with a fifth place finish. “ I’m really pumped to be up here after having the second fastest heat race earlier today and also bangin’ bars with Harold and Michael earlier during the race. My ESJ/Robert’s Honda TRX450R was rippin’ with the cool weather and I felt really strong,” said Andrew afterward.
