of his Pro heat taking second Cooke placed
fifth overall in the Pro Class |
Kirby Cooke was looking good in his heat race
as he claimed the number two spot behind Creech.
Cooke came off the start and tucked in behind
Creech once again and held his position all the
way to the checkered flag to round out the top
five in the Pro class. Kris Bures held on for
a sixth place finish with Charlie Calloway in
seventh. Damon Brown took the number eight spot
with Doug Crossway taking home ninth.

Racing's Harold Goodman grabbed the Pro-Am
holeshot & held on to the lead until
the final few turns & Coburn made his
move to take the win |
In the Pro-am class, Harold Goodman again grabbed
the holeshot with Michael Coburn right on his grab
bar. Coburn pressured Goodman for the entire race
and had settled into second place in the final couple
of laps, but just a few turns before the checkered
flag, Coburn closed in and saw an opportunity. In
dramatic fashion, just three turns before the finish
line, Coburn was able to make the pass on Goodman
to take the Pro-am win. “I thought I was going
to be taking second, but I closed in on Harold and
I saw an opening and just went for it,” said
Coburn.
“I was feeling pretty good out there and
I left the door open a Michael got around me,”
explained Goodman. “It was a good race and
I think it was pretty exciting to watch,”
added Goodman.

on the Pro-Am Podium aboard his Honda TRX450R
ATV |
Brad Riley again worked his way up in the Pro-am
class to take the final spot on the podium. Riley
has become known for his hard charges through
the pack and is one of the most accomplished racers
when it comes to being able to make a pass in
tight conditions, and his skills certainly came
into play this weekend and allowed him to finish
on the Pro-am podium in the number three spot.
Dustin Hoffman claimed second in the Pro-am heat
races and would end his day in fourth in the Pro-am
main event while Nathan Wolff hung on to round
out the top five. Kirby Cooke and Chuckie Creech
both encountered issues in the Pro-am class and
would finish at the back of the pack.
