Extreme Dirt Track ATV Racing
Round #3 - Links
Sikeston, MO - Brad Riley charged hard to claim dual wins in the Pro and Unlimited classes at round number three of the 2011 Extreme Dirt Track series while Harold Goodman would claim the win in the Pro-am class.

The heavy rains and severe flooding that have plagued much of the south had a huge impact on the Sikeston Race Park in Sikeston, MO. The main track at the facility was underwater until just a week prior to Saturday’s races and with the water table still being incredibly high, made for some rough track conditions. There were also lighting issues with many of the stadium lights being burnt out and visibility being an issue after the sun went down. Those conditions really put racers to the test, but Brad Riley seemed to be in his element as he rode to the checkered flag.

PRO ATV MAIN RACE REPORT
Brad Riley - Honda TRX450R ATV
N-Style Constructions' #27 Brad Riley charged his way to the front to claim his 1st Pro Win of the season to boost Riley into the 3rd spot in thePro points race
The Pro main event was plagued with problems with four red flags and restarts, which included crashes involving Brandon Sullenger in the first start, and Brian Ace in the final restart, but finally, the race went off without a hitch. Brad Riley was in fourth off the start and made the pass for third in the first lap. Riley was then gaining ground on Michael Coburn and waiting for an opportunity to make the pass, but when Riley do go for the pass, the pair would connect, sending Coburn back and allowing Riley to take over second place. From there, Riley chased down Harold Goodman, who was in the lead and when they hit lap traffic, Riley was able to capitalize and went for the lead. Riley made the pass and was able to take it to the checkered flag for the Pro class win.

“The track got pretty rough out there, but I kind of liked it. If you weren’t in good shape, you were definitely feeling it, but I am really glad to take the win, especially after my season didn’t start off to well, so this has really help get back a few points for me,” stated Riley.

Harold Goodman - Honda TRX450R ATV
Rage ATV s Harold Goodman held the early lead, but would fall back to the 2nd spot with Riley making the pass for the lead. Goodman's 2nd place finish now has him tied for the points lead with Michael Coburn with each having 73 points

Harold Goodman grabbed the pro holeshot and was pulling a gap on the rest of the pack, but late in the race, that would change when Brad Riley caught up. “After several red flags, I was out front and I was holding my lead for about eight or nine laps before Brad caught up to me and made the pass,” said Goodman who then got caught behind some lap traffic and was unable to challenge Riley, leaving Goodman to settle for second.

Kirby Cooke - Honda TRX450R ATV
G&R Motors' #53 Kirby Cooke secured the final spot on the Podium, but his finish is now under protest due to a red flag restart, so time will tell if it stands
“It was still a good weekend for me. Michael Coburn and I are now tied for the points lead so that makes it kind of exciting for the next round,” stated Goodman.

Kirby Cooke was in the top five off the start and charged hard; working his way into the number three spot before reaching the checkered flag to give him the final spot on the pro podium. However, Cooke’s finish is in dispute as when the red flag flew in the start before, Cooke being the cause of that flag, did not get sent to the back like all the other riders who are the cause of the red flag.
