Baldwin Motorsports’ Josh Upperman laid down some impressive laps and a scorecard of 3-2-8 to claim third overall. Upperman started out by grabbing the holeshot and the JH Racing's $350 holeshot award in moto one. He ran with the early lead and held it for the first three laps. He moved back to third on lap five, but held the position to the checkers.

He then charged into the third turn, only to hit a rut and go over the bars. Once reseated, he battled his way from 16th all the way to eighth. His consistency in the first two motos and his grit in the third allowed him to earn the final spot on the podium.

“I couldn’t be happier. I had three great starts and everything worked really well. I could’ve done without the mishap in the final moto, but I am thrilled to get on the box. My goal when I came down here was to make it on the podium and I am happy to have done that,” regarded Upperman who earned a check for $5,000.

Yamaha’s Thomas Brown claimed fourth in his home state. The Sanger, Texas racer scored 4-5-3 in the motos. In moto one, Brown battled with H&M Motorsports’ David Haagsma for most of the laps. He was finally able to keep him behind him when Brown took over fourth on lap eight and remained there until the checkers. Brown took fifth in moto two.
