Chad Wienen Wins
::Continued::
“We struggled with the starts,” said Wienen.
“The machine was just grabbing so hard that I
had a tough time launching so we went back to
the drawing board and ran some used clutches in
the second moto. We’re going to leave here with
our heads held high, knowing that we gave it everything
we had.”

Brown finished a strong third in the first moto.
In the second moto, he lost his seat with two
laps to go and, with his ECU coming loose, he
slowed his pace to finish third. His fifth podium
this season placed him third in points, ahead
of Gennusa and Jeffrey Rastrelli.

River Racing's Thomas Brown finished third
in Moto One
|
“I lost my seat toward the end of the moto and
then the ECU came out and started flopping around,”
said Brown. “So I just called the race and rolled
those last two laps. Joel was riding smart out
there and not making any mistakes. In the first
moto I had a great start. The second moto was
a lot rougher. We just pushed forward and got
to the front.”
Brown and Rastrelli were fighting it out for
third in points. Unfortunately, Rastrelli had
a bad crash in the first moto and couldn’t race
in the second event. Though he was OK, he fell
to fifth in points as a result of the 18th-place
finish.

“Jeffrey and I had a great battle and it came
right down to the end,” said Brown. “Unfortunately
he had some bad luck so we couldn’t fight it out
all day. I’m glad he’s OK.”
