In WMX, Aubre King took her second overall win of the ATV MX season. King is riding with a broken fibula and an injured tendon but pushed through the pain caused by the brutally rough RedBud sand to take the win.

“First moto I was out there battling with Michelle and it was hurting pretty bad because its pretty rough, but I ended up in second. Today I came out with one goal: to get the holeshot. That’s what I did and I held off Megan,” said King.

Michelle Jenkins came in second with 3-2 moto finishes. “I didn’t have a great start so it was good to be on the podium today. Yesterday I had a good battle with Aubre. I made a big mistake and went on the outside of the turn, she went inside and got me,” explained Jenkins.

Rounding out the WMX podium in third was Megan Shepherd. “Moto one was flawless I got the start and was able to lead the race. Moto two I made a series of mistakes. I came off the gate late and was battling for first and made a mistake trying to pass on the last lap. I got hung up on a berm and it just cost me the race,” stated Shepherd.

#1 Megan Shepherd rounded out the WMX Podium after finishing 5th place in Moto 2 after claiming the Moto One Win
