Megan Shepherd Wins
6th Straight at Spring Creek MX

In the WMX Women’s class Megan Shepherd took
her sixth consecutive overall win. Shepherd has
won the past two national championships and looks
to be closing in on her third.

“This weekend was awesome. Everything went smooth
the bike was handling awesome. It is a really
fun facility. I got both holeshots and maintained
the lead every lap so it was a very successful
weekend,” stated Shepherd.

Aubre King stayed consistent with 2-2 moto finishes
for second overall. King is the only other WMX
racer to win an overall this season and has consistently
stayed in the podium for most other rounds to
secure her second place position in the championship
points.
The number five of Michelle Jenkins rounded out
the WMX podium with third overall. Jenkins put
in a strong ride to finish third in the first
moto and fourth in the second, which was impressive
considering she sliced her forearm open early
in the week and needed stitches after cutting
through the muscle.
In Production B, Cody Ford took the overall win.
Ford dominated the competition, taking first in
both motos. Ford maintained second place in the
championship points race but is inching closer
to first.
