Aubre King rounded out the podium in third. King
finished the first lap in fifth, but managed to
make some passes and salvage third place. King
is second place in the championship points.
In 450 A, heat races were needed. Due to the
second moto cancellation, the overall win between
the heat race winners was decided by lap times.
Sky Volkamer took first overall after winning
the first heat and is the current leader of the
championship points. This was Volkamers second
win in the class this season.
Brian Nolt took second overall,
despite being the winner of heat race number two.
Nolt trails the points lead by just nine as he
holds down second place.
Zach Gill out of Louisville, OH took third after
his second place finish in the first heat race.
Root River Racing’s Noah Mickelson grabbed the
holeshot and ran away with the win in Open B.
Mickelson has been undefeated all season. This
was his fifth straight overall win and he has
a 42 point lead in the championship points.
Grayson Eller came in second. This was a season
best finish for Eller in the Open B class. “It
was a great confidence boost. That is always what
we are looking for half way through the season,”
stated Eller.
Logan Stanfield put in a hard ride to claim a
well deserved third place finish. Stanfield was
in seventh place on lap two, but charged himself
up to third by the checkered flag.
