Thomas Brown secured a 3rd place finish
in Moto One

“The first moto I came out of the gate bad, but
charged up to third, I was pretty pumped on that.
The second moto I holeshot third but the rain
was coming down, and I lost my front brakes on
the first lap. I wrecked trying to figure them
out, but regrouped and just rode without them.
I was able to work up to sixth. It is a little
behind where I was expecting to be but hopefully
that will be our bad race and we will just keep
working forward. The Maxxis tires were hooking
up the DASA motor ran great,” stated Brown.

wrecked in Moto 2, but he bounced right
back up & came back to secure a 6th
place finish for 4th Overall

JB Racing’s Jeffery Rastrelli had 6-4 moto finishes
to place fifth overall. “It was a really treacherous
track today. I haven’t rode on anything that knarly
in a while so we were kind of under prepared.
I finished sixth the first moto, and second moto
came out around mid pack and moved up to fourth.
It was a mud race so we just tried to stay consistent.
We are going to go home, turn it around, and hopefully
come back with a podium. After my Daytona showing
I know where I belong, and this weekend I let
myself down,” stated Rastrelli.

Walsh Race Craft’s Nick Gennusa fought through
the challenging track conditions for sixth place
overall.
“I had a good first moto. I felt really solid
and I got up to seventh. Second moto I spun a
little bit off the start and the second turn my
seat fell off. I worked through it, made a few
good passes and made it to fifth. I had roll off
goggles that worked really well until I ran out
of stuff to pull and had to take them off. I closed
in on Rastrelli, but I couldn’t get it done. I’m
walking out of here safe and pretty happy with
my results, and I only want to go forward from
here,” said Gennusa.

Root River Racing’s Josh Upperman finished seventh
overall on the weekend after finishing fifth in
the first moto and tenth in the second. “The first
moto I settled in fifth. It got a little wet and
sloppy out there the second moto. About mid way
my bike started acting up and I had to back it
off and I finished tenth. I’m looking forward
to Tennessee. I’m happy with how the bikes working.
I’m going to get some more training and practicing
and I think we will be right there with them.
My Hoosier tires are working awesome. We have
had really good luck with them and the people
at Hoosier are awesome to work with,” stated Upperman.
