Go 1-2 on the Spring Creek MX Pro Podium |
Millville,
MN (6/4/2011) – Can-Am/Motoworks'
Chad Wienen came on strong, going 2-1 to take the
overall win with his teammate John Natalie, Jr.
going 1-2 for the number two spot, while Walsh Race
Craft’s Jeremy Lawson made his third podium
appearance of the season in third.
Warm temps and unseasonable humidity were on
tap for this round and took their toll on racers,
and even the most conditioned riders looked exhausted
coming off the track, but that didn’t stop
Chad Wienen from coming on strong and making statement
in moto two after a heated battle with Natalie
in moto one.

AMA
Pro ATV Motocross Racing made its return
to Spring Creek in Millville, MN for the
second straight year & racers were treated
to near perfect weather with temps in the
mid 80's and sunny skies |
Can-Am/Motoworks’ Chad Wienen was in fifth
off the start and quickly got around Nick DeNoble
and began to chase down Josh Upperman. Wienen
would make the pass on Upperman and then on Joel
Hetrick to take over second place. Wienen was
right on teammate John Natalie’s grab bar
for the entire race and tried desperately to make
a move but could not get by and had to settle
for second.

Can-Am's
#44 Chad Wienen charged his way into the
second spot behind #13 John Natalie Jr.
with several laps to go, but Wienen was
unable to make a pass on Natalie to claim
the 2nd spot in Moto One
|
“Catching John is one thing but getting
around him is another. I just tried to do my best
and hopefully get a better start in the next moto,”
said Wienen.
Wienen was looking for the win in moto two and
he got it. Wienen was in third off the start behind
Josh Upperman and Joel Hetrick and then took the
lead early in the first lap. From there, Wienen
began to pull away and didn’t stop until
he had reached the checkered flag with a 23 second
lead.

Motoworks'
Chad Wienen made a statement in Moto 2 when
he got out front in the 1st lap & took
the checkered flag with a 23 second lead
over #13 John Natalie for the Win |
“I got a better start and I got out front
early so I just really put my head down for the
first few laps and created a gap. From there I
tried to ride smart and stay smooth and I just
kept pulling away. I’m really glad to take
the win and get a little more ahead in points.
I’m looking forward to the break we get
so I can be rested and ready to go at round eight,”
stated Wienen.
