AMA Pro ATV MX Race Season |
Pell
City, AL (3/19/2011)
– Can-Am/Motoworks' Chad Wienen again dominated
the field, winning back to back motos and taking
the overall win at round two of the 2011 AMA ATV
Motocross Championships while he was joined on the
podium by teammate John Natalie, Jr. in second and
Baldwin Motorsports' Josh Upperman in third.
Weather conditions were good for round two with
partly cloudy skies and temps approaching the
80 degree mark. Track conditions were good for
the most part, but passing was difficult in some
areas, making racers work hard for their positions,
but there was one racer that made it look easy
as he cruised his way to victory.
After coming off of a round one win, Can-Am/Motoworks'
Chad Wienen took the ATVRiders.com fastest qualifier
award and the moto one win. Wienen took an early
lead after making the pass on Nick DeNoble and
Joe Byrd. Once out front, Wienen checked out and
took the win by nearly18 seconds.

Can-Am
/ Motoworks' Chad Wienen took over the lead
by the end of lap one in Moto 2 & once
again claimed the fastest laptime of the
Moto with a 01:39.695 as he went on to claim
the win once again with 11.824 seconds to
spare |
In moto two, Wienen was in second off the line
behind Joe Byrd and before the end of the first
lap, took over the lead and pulled away. Wienen
would end up finishing with a 12 second lead in
moto two and claim the top spot on the podium.
Wienen is off to a pefect 2011 season with a four
moto winning streak, which has given him a solid
11 point lead over teammate, John Natalie, but
he still keeps it humble.
“I have to give it up to all our sponsors
for helping us come out strong and help us be
where we are. I really put my head down all year
and it is paying off. We have a really great team
and a solid program and that's what it's all about,”
stated Wienen.
