Moto-Xperts
/ Dragon Racing Fuels #75 Casey Martin takes
his second win of the season at Mill Creek
MX |
Pell
City, AL (3/28/2011)
– For Casey Martin, some big changes loomed
as the 2010 season ended and preparation for 2011
began. A switch to a new ride must have been just
what was needed as the young racer launched his
Moto-Xperts backed Honda 450R off the line at the
opening round and began his assault on the 2011
Pro-AM Production AMA ATV Motocross championship.
At the season opener, the Moto one first turn
wasn't kind to Martin as he found himself quickly
off the track and looking for a hole to get back
in the action. Back on the throttle, Martin would
ride well and finish fourth however that position
isn't exactly what the team had in mind. Moto
two would tell the tale as Martin would once again
find himself off the track, however experience
and skill allowed him to put in a solid moto as
he crossed the checkered flag securing the win
and the overall.

Shortly
after taking the Holeshot in Georgia, #75
Casey Martin found his way off the track
but was able to get back on track and take
the overall win
|
The winter shaken off, Martin and the team turned
it's attention to round two and with some slight
adjustments to his set up, this round would showcase
the talent many felt Martin had awaiting for his
competitors. Domination would best describe his
performance in the first moto and a solid second
place finish in moto two would secure his second
overall win of the season.

The
Moto-Xperts Team of Casey Martin & Aaron
Meyer once again lead the Pro-Am pack right
off the start at Mill Creek |
Casey
Martin stays on the throttle as he makes
his way to his second overall Pro- Am win
of the season at Pell City |
With the change in format for the season, Pro
AM would sit all alone on Sunday as the premier
class of the day. Several Pro AM racers elected
to run Pro at the opening rounds for both the
seat time and the chance to run with the fastest
ATV racers in the world. Martin sat out and only
entered the gate on Sunday however he mentioned
from the podium that he may make the move to run
Pro from here on out. With the chance to dial
in a set up prior to Sunday’s race, expect
to see the Pro AM class get even more competitive
as those that can capitalize on the new format
make things interesting in coming rounds.
|
Moto-Xperts' Aaron Meyer has been consistent
in round one and two placing second overall
in Pro-Am Production |
With Martin stealing the show in the first two rounds,
teammate Aaron Meyer would have to fight for position
at both rounds. Meyer claimed the third spot at
the opening round but would put in an impressive
ride at round two as he ran virtually unchallenged
to take the second spot on the podium in moto one.
With momentum propelling this one two punch, it
is going to take some serious effort to steal their
thunder as the Moto-Xperts crew doesn't intend to
back off the gas anytime soon.
