Motoworks
/ Can-Am's Chad Wienen claims his 1st Win
of the Year |
Buchanan,
MI – It was a battle
to the finish between Chad Wienen, Josh Creamer
and Josh Upperman that came down to the final moments
of the race before Can-Am/Motoworks’ Chad
Wienen would be declared the overall winner at Red
Bud. Rockstar Makita Suzuki’s Josh Creamer
would finish second and get one step closer to taking
his first ever Pro AMA ATV Motocross Championship
while Baldwin Motorsports’ Upperman would
hang on for the final spot on the podium.
Beautiful weather and good track conditions were
on hand for round number ten of the 2010 AMA ATV
Motocross Championships, which helped set some
of the fastest lap times of the year from the
Pro class, that were said to be even faster than
the AMA Pro bike classes, and set the stage for
some intense racing action.

Can-Am's
Chad Wienen was on in Moto One after a
5th place start, he charged his way up
to a third place finish right behind Suzuki's
Josh Creamer, which had Creamer looking
over his shoulder at the finish line jump
as Wienen closed a five second gap in
just two laps
|
Can-Am/Motoworks’ Chad Wienen was fifth
off the start and would work his way into the
number three spot after just a few laps into the
first moto. Wienen, who claimed the ATVRiders.com
fastest qualifier award would close in on Josh
Creamer, but ran out of time before he could make
a move and would have to settle for the number
three spot.

Can-Am's
Chad Wienen found himself once again chasing
after Suzuki's Josh Creamer in Moto Two,
but this time it was early in the Moto,
and Wienen put down the fastest laptime
of the weekend with a 02:15.043 in lap
4 & passed Josh Creamer along the
way to claim the lead, which is where
Wienen stayed to claim the Moto &
Overall Win

Before
Chad Wienen could get the wrapping off the
bottle, former teammate, Josh Creamer was
showering Wienen down with champagne |
As the gate dropped for moto two, Wienen was
in a strong fourth off the start and quickly made
his way into third and just before the midway
point of the race, he would challenge Josh Upperman
to take over second and begin his pursuit of leader,
Josh Creamer. Wienen would lay down the fastest
lap time of any racer with a time of 02:15.043
and was even said to be recording 5 second faster
lap times consistently than the Pro bikes that
were there just the weekend before. With those
fast laps, It would only take the number 44 Can-Am
one more lap before taking over the lead, which
he would hang on to until reaching the checkered
flag.
“Red Bud is my favorite track so I came
out here to have fun and I am really excited to
take the win. It’s a really great accomplishment
and I am glad to be able to give it my best. I
have to thank all my sponsors, including Can-Am
and Motoworks for helping me make it happen,”
said Wienen.
