Danville,
VA – The weather
in Danville may have been hot, but the action at
Birch Creek was even hotter for round number three
of the 2010 AMA ATV Motocross Championship as Rockstar
Makita Suzuki’s Josh Creamer took another
overall win with teammate Wimmer in second, while
Yamaha’s Thomas Brown claimed his first ever
pro podium position in third.
With temps soaring into the 90’s and humidity
at a balmy 55%, endurance and training came into
play for this round as the heat took its toll
on many racers. Despite the weather, team Suzuki
still came out on top.

Suzuki's
Josh Creamer Wins his 2nd Straight &
takes over the Pro ATV points lead at Birch
Creek Motorsports |
Rockstar Makita Suzuki’s Josh Creamer was
in a solid fourth off the line behind Can-Am Motoworks’
Chad Wienen in the first moto. Creamer kept on
the gas and made his way past Wienen and began
to chase down Upperman. Creamer would again apply
the pressure and make his way into the number
two spot with only a few laps to go. Creamer would
pressure Wimmer, but was not able to close in
enough to make a move.
In moto two, Creamer was in the top five off
the line and was on a mission to get to the top
of the box. Creamer would charge his way past
both Wimmer and Brown as he chased after Upperman
in the lead, but unexpectedly, Uppermans’
Honda came to a stop with mechanical issues, which
gave Creamer the lead as he went on to take his
second overall win of the season and take over
the pro points lead.

Dustin Wimmer claims the ATVriders.com Fastest
Qualifier Award |
Rockstar Makita Suzuki’s Dustin Wimmer was
on fire as he flew off the line, taking an early
lead after passing Harold Goodman, who took the
moto one hoeshot. Despite pressure from Baldwin
Motorsports’ Josh Upperman and Rockstar
Makita Suzuki teammate, Josh Creamer, Wimmer would
keep his cool and the lead all the way to the
checkered flag.
In moto two, Wimmer was again off to a smoking
fast start, but he and Upperman would connect
hard early in the race, and soon after, Wimmer
began to surrender positions as if he was experiencing
an issue. Wimmer would end his day with a 1-5
finish giving him the number two spot on the podium.

the Moto One win, and he grabbed the Moto
2 Holeshot, but unfortunately, he lost
his seat in Moto 2 (above right), which
slowed down his charge as he finished
