Josh Creamer on his way to securing the
ATVriders.com Fastest Qualifier Award |
The action kicked off early in the morning with
the Pro ATV timed qualifiers to determine the
gate picks for Moto 1, and it was Suzuki's Josh
Creamer scoring the fastest time and $100 from
ATVriders.com for the Fast Qualifier Award with
a time of 1:51.566, which was less than a half
a second faster than Motoworks / Can-Am's Chad
Wienen followed by his teammate, Jeremie Warnia.
After some rain showers overnight, the track
had begun to dry out by late morning, but rain
showers that were predicted started to move in
and a down pour ensued just as the Pro-am Production
class was lining up. Luckily the rain eased a
bit just in time for Pro moto one, but the track
remained slick and muddy.
Josh Creamer was blazingly fast off the line
aboard his new Rockstar Suzuki LTR450 and grabbed
the moto one holeshot, but teammate Dustin Wimmer
was right on his heels and took over the lead
shortly into the first lap.

Wimmer would proceed to check out on the competition,
eventually pulling a five second lead and taking
an easy moto one win. In moto two Wimmer was once
again second off the line, but took the lead after
just two laps and pulled away to a five second
lead. Wimmer would stay fast and consistent to
take the win and the overall.
