PRM ATV Baja Bumper for the 400EX (written by Kevin)

I just got this 2001 400ex about 3 weeks ago. I have noticed the front edge of the fenders on each side have a small area that acts as a hook on weeds and small saplings. I have miles of trails here and when riding thru thick areas or woods the stuff gets knocked down by the fenders which has already scarthed them up more than I would have liked to seen so soon. This is not a problem on well defined trails or sand flats but my trails have grown up slightly after not being ridden on in a few years.

The factory bumper is pathetic for protecting from anything and looks cheap on such a nice machine. After looking at several styles I found a PRM Baja bumper that works very well. It is wide enough so it deflects small stuff off to the sides and helps to protect the plastic. It also has enough area to get 2 hands on it when you have to manhandle it out of a trailer or something and it looks great compared to the stock thing. Being made of aluminum, it doesnt wiegh that much at all. I really like this and would recommend. it to anyone that likes this look and stlye.
