Chino, CA (5/11/2010) - Yoshimura’s
Chris Borich overcame adversity to finish on the
podium at the Yadkin Valley Stomp this weekend
in North Carolina. The sixth stop on the GNCC
circuit proved to be a tough one, but Borich was
able to rally and put himself on the podium where
he’s been at every race so far in 2010.
Borich got a stick lodged in his A-arm during
the race, and was forced to stop to remove it.
Throughout the two-hour race, Borich had some
troubles and found himself off his quad a few
times. But, with the power and performance of
his Yoshimura engine, he was able to work his
way up to third place by the end of race and
salvage some very important points toward the
championship.
“A real winner is a racer who doesn’t
quit when things get tough,” ATV Marketing
Manager Kory Ellis said. “That’s
why Chris has been so successful in his GNCC
career. Yoshimura believes in his abilities
as a racer, and we’re sure he’ll
be back on top of the box soon.”
Borich has piloted his Yoshimura-powered Suzuki
QuadRacer R450 to four wins so far this season,
and he’s leading the championship points
race by 18. Round 7 of the 13-round GNCC series
takes place in Somerset, Pennsylvania.
