Chino, CA (8/17/2010) - Yoshimura ATV
riders finished the 2010 AMA ATV Motocross Championship
in great form at the historic Loretta Lynn’s
Ranch in Hurricane Mills, TN. Josh Creamer took
home the championship, the first of his pro
ATV career, while teammate Dustin Wimmer finished
second overall in the championship chase, and
second on the rain-delayed race on the podium.
Yamaha rider Thomas Brown had an impressive
showing, finishing fifth, while Patrick Brown,
Cody Grant, and Harold Goodman finished eighth,
tenth, and eleventh respectively.

Josh Creamer
did not make the podium at the one-moto
formart weekend at Loretta Lynn's but
this was more than enough for him to
secure the Championship win

Heavy rainfall pushed back the racing schedule
Sunday morning at the series finale, limiting
the last race of the season to just a single
moto. By midday, the skies had cleared and track
crews had gotten the track ready for racing.
Josh Creamer used his Yoshimura-tuned engine
to secure a fantastic start and quickly jumped
out to the lead.
Behind him was Yamaha’s Thomas Brown
and Creamer’s teammate, Dustin Wimmer.
Creamer, however, made an uncharacteristic mistake,
which pushed him back to seventh. While Brown
fell back to fifth, Wimmer soldiered on in second
place, where he crossed the finish line.
Creamer’s finish was more than enough
to bring home his first AMA ATV Motocross championship.
“The Yoshimura engine worked awesome
this weekend,” said Creamer after celebrating
his championship victory. “We had some
bad weather, which made for some muddy track
conditions in a few spots, but the Yoshimura
power pulled through it and got us the holeshot.
The 2010 season as a whole has been amazing!”

Dustin Wimmer took 2nd place overall
on the day at Loretta Lynn's Ranch &
also 2nd place in the Championship giving
Yoshimura/Suzuki 1-2 on the Season

Although Dustin Wimmer missed taking home the
Championship trophy for 2010, the two-time champion
was still enthusiastic. “The Yoshimura
products worked great all season and they’re
the best of the best,” Wimmer said. “Today
the track was a little tacky and muddy, but
the Yoshimura motor and pipe got me off the
gate to a pretty good start and gave me some
really good pull out of the turns and helped
get me up to second place.”
It’s been a great 2010 season for the
Yoshimura riders in the AMA ATV Pro Motocross
series. Vice President of Yoshimura R&D
of America, Don Sakakura, commented on the successful
year. “Yoshimura R&D of America is
very proud of Josh Creamer’s and Dustin
Wimmer’s accomplishments this season,
most notably Josh’s championship-winning
season! Josh’s remarkable dedication and
his ability to adapt so quickly to the Suzuki
QuadRacer R450 were simply amazing,” Sakakura
said.

“American Suzuki’s 2008 and 2009
AMA Pro ATV MX Champion Dustin Wimmer must also
be congratulated for his solid second-place
standing this past year. Also, I wish to extend
a special thanks to American Suzuki and Suzuki
Motor Corporation for their tremendous support
of ATV racing. The QuadRacer R450’s production
platform has been instrumental with its impressive
racetrack successes. We anticipate the continuation
of many future championships.”
Across the country, the eighth round of the
ITP QuadCross series was held at the Glen Helen
Raceway and Justin Jones rode his Yoshimura-powered
QuadRacer R450 to a first-place finish, expanding
his lead in the Pro-Am class. With the Yoshimura
engine and exhaust on his quad, Jones easily
powered out for the win. “I had a great
weekend,” Jones explained. “On Saturday
I won on my Yoshimura Powered Honda motorcycle
and Sunday I won it on my Yosh Powered Suzuki
ATV. I’m a fan!”
