Chino, CA (6/22/2010) - Yoshimura R&D
of America dominated Muddy Creek in Blountville,
Tennessee, on Sunday. Yoshimura’s Josh Creamer
won the AMA ATV Motocross Pro overall, while Yoshimura-supported
racers Dustin Wimmer, Thomas Brown, and Cody Grant
all stormed the top 10. In the ITP QuadCross series,
Justin Jones took the win in the Pro-Am class,
making it a winning weekend for Yoshimura ATV
racers.
At the AMA ATV Motocross series, Creamer took
second in both motos but came out on top when
the points were tallied on Sunday.

Yoshimura's
#9 Josh Creamer
|
Creamer has won three overalls in a row now
and plans to keep on winning. He took the holeshot
in the second moto with his impressive Yoshimura
engine, and his consistently fast riding has
put him on top of the podium five times total.
“It feels really good to win three in a
row,” Creamer said. “I didn’t
know if I was going to be able to pull it off
like this since it’s my first season on
the Suzuki, but I was hoping. Now, hopefully we
keep it up for rest of the season.” Creamer
leads the series in points.
Back-to-back champion Dustin Wimmer had some
bad luck in the first moto when another racer’s
engine failed mid-air over a double.

thru a turn at Muddy Creek on his way
to a 7-1 finish & 3rd overall

Wimmer was able to remount his Yoshimura-prepped
Suzuki and take seventh place, but he was determined
to do better in the second moto. At the drop
of the gate, Wimmer shot out and fought his
way to the front of the pack. He never looked
back, and easily took the victory. He’s
currently second in overall points.
Thomas Brown and his Yoshimura-equipped Yamaha
YFZ450 were also on a mission on Sunday. Thomas
finished 5-6 in the motos, good enough for sixth
place overall. This is Thomas’ fifth appearance
in the top 10, and he’s also sixth in
overall championship points for the 2010 season.
Newcomer Cody Grant also had a banner day at
Muddy Creek. The rookie finished 11-10 for the
day, putting him in the top 10 at the end of
the race. Grant has steadily improved throughout
the 2010 season, and Muddy Creek’s finish
was his second top-10 appearance in a row.

Yoshimura's
Pat Brown went 10-11 on the day for
11th overall at Muddy Creek & now
sits in 8th in points

Hot on Cody’s heels, Pat Brown and his
Honda TRX450R finished 10-11 for the day and
placed just outside the top 10. Pat is eighth
in overall championship points and continues
to be consistently fast on the track with the
Yoshimura engine work propelling his Honda across
the finish line.
Round 8 of the series takes place at Pleasure
Valley in Armagh, Pennsylvania, on July 3-4.
At the ITP QuadCross series in Surprise, Arizona,
Justin Jones rode his Yoshimura-powered Honda
TRX450R to the win in the Pro-Am class. With
the Yoshimura engine and exhaust on his quad,
Jones easily powered his way past the competition
to take the win. “I got both holeshots
and both wins in my motos,” Jones said.
“The Yoshimura engine really pulls and
got me two great starts. I’m really happy
and excited for the next race.”
The next round of QuadCross racing takes place
July 11 at Glen Helen Raceway in California.
