Frankfurt, KY (9/17/2012) - National Guard / Coastal / Bowers Motorcycle Supplies / Yokley Racing Team rider Jarrod McClure finished 3rd Overall and 3rd in the XC1 Pro Class. There were 214 total entries including 13 XC1 Pro racers.
The GNCC annual two month summer break is over and everyone was ready to get back to racing. Jarrod McClure has been riding and training regularly with his Pennsylvania neighbor, Chris Borich, so he was ready to go! The historic Unadilla has been the home to Pro Motocross events for more than forty years, and the racers are able race on the famed Professional and Amateur motocross courses as well as eight miles of adjoining woods sections. The conditions were almost perfect.

Jarrod got a great start and headed into the woods in 3rd position. Brian Wolf, Adam McGill and Jarrod got a small gap on the field for the first three laps. They started getting into lappers by the end of lap 2, so that slowed them down and allowed Chris Borich and Walker Fowler to catch up. For the next several laps, the top six riders were bunched up.
It finally came down to the last two laps of the seven lap race. It was Borich, Fowler and McClure trading positions. Borich pulled off the win, with Fowler and Jarrod close behind. This was Jarrod’s best finish, and first podium of the 2012 GNCC season. He is in 6th position in the GNCC season points standings. Congratulations to Chris Borich for wrapping up his fourth GNCC Pro ATV Championship!
