Cypress, CA (11/2/2007) - Yamaha
Motor Corp., U.S.A. congratulates Bill Ballance
for winning a record eighth consecutive Grand
National Cross Country (GNCC) XC1 Pro ATV championship
this past weekend in Crawfordsville, Indiana.
Ballance rode to victory on his 2008 Yamaha
YFZ450, taking first place in the final GNCC
race on Saturday, October 27. His top finish
helped him maintain the over-all series point
lead and capture the 2007 title.
"Yamaha reliability is a big reason for
winning this championship," Ballance said
after the race. "We either won or finished
on the podium in every single race this year."
"Yamaha couldn't be more proud to be a
part of Bill's record setting eighth straight
GNCC championship," said Steve Nessl, Yamaha
ATV/SxS marketing manager. "Bill is a fierce
competitor, a true champion and a role model
for ATV racers everywhere. The fact that the
YFZ450 is the ATV he chose to help him on his
record-setting run is a testament to the machine's
extreme level of performance and reliability."
