Cypress, CA (9/18/2012) - Yamaha racers scored two wins and three additional podiums in the premier ATV and motorcycle classes as the GNCC series resumed at Unadilla in New Berlin, NY on Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 15-16. Patrick McGuire and Yamaha's Traci Cecco both flew their YFZ450Rs to wins in their respective XC2 Pro Am and Women's classes on Saturday, with Ballance Racing's Walker Fowler adding a second in the top XC1 Pro class.
Combining Unadilla's famous MX track with nearby woods created an exciting atmosphere for the weekend, especially in Saturday afternoon's combined XC1 Pro and XC2 Pro Am ATV event. In XC1 Pro, after an average start Ballance Racing's Taylor Kiser set out in pursuit of leading trio Adam McGill, Chris Borich and Jarrod McClure, eventually finishing a strong fourth.
However teammate Fowler was even more aggressive, starting downfield before accelerating to catch the lead pack, ultimately finishing second to Borich at the flag. In all, five Yamahas occupied the top eight XC1 Pro finishing positions.

Starting just behind in the XC2 Pro Am wave, McGuire had a somewhat easier time getting his third win of the year. After taking over from rival Eric Hoyland on the second lap, McGuire expanded his lead first to nearly 30 seconds, then to over a minute, and then to more than two minutes. Ultimately McGuire played it smart to take the checkers a comfortable 1 min. 37 sec. ahead of Braden Henthorn, with the win extending his XC2 Pro Am championship lead to 21 points over his rival.

And finally, in the closely fought Women's race on Saturday morning, Cecco battled with title rival Angel Atwell to earn her sixth GNCC win of the year – and expand her championship lead to a precious eight points.
