X-Stream Composites carbon fiber ATV engine mount kit & tie-rods

Woodland, WA (8/28/2012) - X~Stream Composites is happy to announce their products will now be available to the public. Currently offering carbon fiber reinforced tie-rods and blended composite motor mounts, XSC has several more products under development to be released at a later date.

After years of working with composite materials and combinations thereof at G.Loomis, X-Stream Composites owner Brad Loomis took on the ATV world when his two boys kept bending tie-rods on their race quads. His extensive knowledge from building everything from baseball bats to aerospace tubing to the trusted graphite fishing rods of G. Loomis, and his involvement in researching the ability to amplify or absorb valve-train harmonics with a prominent NASCAR team, (before the technology was outlawed for racing) has led the company to develop several blended composites for different applications.

What makes X~Stream Composites’ parts different than all other carbon fiber components in the industry today, is the material knowledge and custom built manufacturing equipment and processes that create a denser laminate than the market has ever seen. Industry standard vacuum bagging can only achieve at best 66 PSI. X~Stream Composites can put as much as 7000 PSI on a given product if needed. The carbon fiber components, while looking exceptionally good, are made with performance in mind first and foremost, and pride themselves on technologically advanced parts unlike any others available to customers. It is the years of composites manufacturing that makes X~Stream Composites products different.

“We look at the intended product, specify the requirements, pick the appropriate materials and build the strongest lightest part possible,” Brad Loomis said, “What makes one material good, doesn’t make it the right material for everything. By blending materials, I am able to make products that are not only lighter and stronger than anything on the market, but offer other benefits as well.” Since 2006, X-Stream Composites has worked with several well known companies in the ATV scene as an OEM manufacture, and has had carbon fiber tie-rods available and used by sponsored riders in the ATVA, WORCS and local series’ since about 2004.

Tie rods and engine mounts are the main products being manufactured at this time, with sway bars, steering stems, axles, a-arms and hubs in development.
