White Bear Lake, MN (7/2/2006)
- The next race for the WPSA PowerSports
ATV Championship Tour, scheduled for next weekend
at South Fork Dirt Riders, kicks off a Midwest
swing for the Nation's premier ATV championship
racing series. The Jack Link's Feed Your Wild
Side ATV Championship in Illinois will be the
first of two races in America's Heartland, with
an event scheduled for later this month at Wild
Cat Creek MX, just outside Indianapolis.
"Despite rumors to the contrary, the Illinois
event is a go, and we're looking forward to bringing
our brand of ATV racing to the Midwest," said
PowerSports Entertainment, Inc. CEO Rick Murphy. "Illinois
and Indiana remain key markets for us, and we think
our made-for-ESPN2 show will be exciting for both
riders and fans, alike.
"Unfounded rumors are detrimental to the sport,
generally" added Murphy. "Our press office
is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and we
urge anyone with questions to contact us."
Along with QuadMX and QuadTerrain Challenge events,
featuring some of ATV Racing's top pros, including
John Natalie, Jr., Doug Gust, Jeremiah Jones, Daryl
Rath and many others, the Illinois race will also
showcase several opportunities for fans to sample
products from weekend title sponsor Jack Link's Meat
Snacks. Jack Link's is the "Official Meat Snack"
of the PowerSports ATV Tour.
The Jack Link's Feed Your Wild Side ATV Championship
is scheduled for next
Saturday and Sunday, July 8-9 at South Fork Dirt Riders.
The event will be telecast on ESPN2 on Saturday, July
15, at noon EDT.
