White Bear Lake, MN (7/10/2006) - Due
to a thumb injury suffered in competition last
weekend, WPSA PowerSports ATV Championship Tour
SuperQuad Pro 450 points leader John Natalie,
Jr. (No. 13 Elka, HMF, Swift/Honda) will miss
this weekend's Jack Link's Feed Your Wild Side
ATV Championship at South Fork Dirt Riders.
The Houtzdale, Pa. resident suffered a broken left
thumb, requiring surgeons to install three pins. Natalie,
who has two wins and two additional podiums this season,
said he hopes to return to WPSA competition at the
season finale, scheduled for Aug. 19-20 at Old Bridge
Township Raceway Park in Englishtown, N.J.
"I'm hurting pretty bad right now," said
Natalie. "I thought the season was going great
for us. The Tour did a great job this season, and
we're looking forward to 2007."
The Jack Link's Feed Your Wild Side ATV Championship
kicked off today with open practice. Racing gets underway
tomorrow, with a full card of qualifying and finals
for the Pro classes, as well as Amateur, Pro-Am and
Youth class qualifying. Sunday's events will also
feature a full show for the Pros, with finals scheduled
for the remaining classes. Tickets will be available
at the gate.
Saturday's events will be telecast on ESPN2 on Saturday,
July 15 at noon EDT, while Sunday's race will air
Saturday, July 22, also at noon.
