12-15 Years Open Class Announced:
Who would have thougth that there is really
that many non-production based ATV's. The 12-15yrs
open class will allow non-production based ATV's
with the same motor displacement guidlines as
the 12-15yrs production class. WORCS is trying
to discourage this class for two reasons. The
manufacturers do not recognize these types of
quads since they do not sell them and secondly
due to the very very high cost to the consumer.
If your child is in a transition stage with
the new insurance limitations then may be this
will work for you.
Spark Arrestors Required at Holliester
ORV Round
At the Hollister Hills ORV round you will be
required to run a USFS spark arrestor. Only
the youth classes that run just (51-70cc open,
70 Stock, 50cc 4-6, 50cc 7-8) before the pro-main
will not be required to run the spark arrestors
since they never leave the motocross section
of the race track. Their is no exceptions given
by the forest service park rangers for this.
Many companies offer aftermarket spark arrestors
that you can addapt to your ATV
New Transponder Rule for 2008
Effective at Round#1 (Phoenix), it will be required
to bring your transponder to registration every
race! We are having a problem with a few riders
that are not running the correct transponders!
They sign off on their entry forms but are not
checking their corresponding numbers correctly
We will have an extra person at the start line
of every event that will check each bike and
quad for a transponder!!
