Price, UT (7/27/2012) -Pro
WORCS racer Robbie Mitchell took to the podium
at one of the most difficult rounds the series
has ever seen, in his home state of Utah, during
round number six of the 2012 WORCS series, and
his consistency throughout the season has him
ranked as one of the top five racers in the
                                  series.

Robbie Mitchell placed third at On the
Edge Raceway in Central, UT |

On the Edge, in Enterprise, UT was an incredibly
difficult track with lots of rocks and several
water crossings that caused difficulties for
many racers, but it was a course that made Robbie
Mitchell fell right at home. “I really
like the slower more technical tracks and this
one was awesome. I didn’t care about the
rocks, I just ran right through them,”
said Mitchell, who was trying out Tireballs
for the first time, which worked perfectly for
                                  him.
“I have a really good program in place
this year with Exit Shocks, and LMR. My LMR
engine fire right up off the start and it even
handled all he water crossings with no problems.
I really couldn’t ask for anything more,”
                                  stated Mitchell.
Mitchell was running in a strong second for
quite a while, but he did get hung up in one
of the water crossings, which caused him to
fall back to third place. Mitchell was able
to get going quickly and began to close back
in on second place, but ran out of time before
he could get close enough to make a pass. Mitchell’s
incredible run in the rough and tough conditions
gave him his first podium finish in quite some
time, and to make it even better, was that he
was able to finish well in his home state in
                                  front of his many supporters.
“It really felt great to be on the podium
again, especially here at home in front of all
my family and friends. That really made it special
                                  for me,” said Mitchell.
Robbie Mitchell has not finished outside of
the top ten yet this season and that consistency
has put him in fifth in series points and with
a little luck, he could take over fourth place
at the next round. “It has been a great
season for me so far and I really have to thank
all of my sponsors, family and everyone who
has helped me this year. It has been great and
I hope I can finish on the podium again before
                                  the season ends,” said Mitchell.
Round seven of the 2012 WORCS series will head
to Cahuilla Creek MX in Anza, CA on August 3rd
                                  – 5th where Robbie Mitchell is hoping
                                  for another podium finish.
