Decal's Chad Wienen placed second at
AMA ATV MX Round 5. Wienen still holds
down first place in the Pro Points |
Galena, IL (6/5/2012) - Chad
Wienen landed a second place overall finish
this past weekend in the first AMA ATV Pro National
under the lights at Balance MX in Oakland, KY
aboard his Wienen Motorsports SSi Walsh Yamaha.
In the first moto of the night Chad Wienen
came out of the holeshot in second following
close behind the SSi Decals holeshot winner.
Wienen held second place the whole moto and
started to pressure the leader for the win
in the remaining laps. Wienen was unable to
make a pass stick and took a second place
finish.
The lights came on for the second gate drop.
Wienen gated in the top 5 and picked off up
to 3 before the first lap completed. With
the tough racing conditions Wienen had to
settle in for the Second Place overall for
the night.
"I did not feel comfortable pushing as
hard as I was capable of with the lighting
and shadows out there. I am satisfied to come
out of round 5 with a podium finish and remaining
the Points Leader at the half way point of
the season. I am looking forward to the next
round to come out strong in the second half
of the season!" said Chad Wienen.
