Warnert Racing’s Adam McGill Podiums at Loretta Lynn's GNCC
GNCC ATV Racing - Round 13 - Hurricane Mills, TN - November 5, 2011

Warnert Racing's Adam McGill placed second at Loretta Lynn's GNCC aboard his Can-Am DS450 Sport ATV

St. Cloud, MN (11/9/2011) - Warnert Racing’s Adam McGill charged his way to the podium for the final round of the season and finished second in the Pro points championship, while teammate Chris Bithell’s top five finish allowed him to take fourth in championship points.

Loretta Lynn’s was supposed to be the fifth stop of the 2011 GNCC tour, but inclement weather and flooding postponed the round until the end of the season, but that was good thing for racers. Mild temperatures and sunny skies were on hand, offering near perfect conditions, and some new trails that were added for this round gave racers a little extra challenge, but Warnert Racing’s Adam McGill was up for the challenge.

McGill was next to last off the start, but he was determined to end his season on the podium and charged his way into the top five by the end of the first lap. “I just kept picking people off and next thing I knew I was right up there with the leaders,” said McGill, who moved into third by the next lap. McGill kept on the gas and battled it out as the top three racers, all wanting to finish well for the final round, stayed close. “In the last lap, I was back in third again and it was almost like a drag race between all the front guys and I ended up being able to pull ahead and take second place at the checkered flag,” stated McGill.

McGill’s speed and determination allowed him to finish second in championship points this season, his best placement of his career. “I had a really good season and I can’t thank everyone at Can-Am and Warnert Racing enough for all they have done for me this year. They did a great job and kept my quad running strong all year. I couldn’t ask for anything more,” said McGill.

Chris Bithell also had a great run for the final round. Bithell got off to a great start and was running in second place in the first lap. From there, Bithell moved into the lead, but fell back in the third lap and would end his day in the number four spot. Bithell’s consistency this season also earned him fourth in the pro points chase, allowing Warnert Racing to have both pro riders in the top five at season’s end.

Warnert's Women's Class Racer Lexie Coulter placed fourth in the Championship Points Race on her Can-Am DS450 ATV

Women’s class racer Lexie Coulter ran into a bit of bad luck this season after breaking her arm. Despite her injury, Coulter came back strong and was able to take fourth place in championship points.

The Warnert Racing team also finished fourth in points in the Side-by-Side Open Modified class, which is quite well for it being the team’s first year racing UTV’s.

It has been a successful season for the Warnert Racing team and the team is looking forward to attending the 2011 GNCC Awards Banquet that will be held on December 2nd – 3rd at the Waterfront Place Hotel in Morgantown, WV.
