St. Cloud, MN (10/12/2011) - Warnert
Racing’s Adam McGill took on the challenging
terrain of Powerline Park and made his way to the
podium at round number eleven of the 2011 GNCC series.
Although the weather was unseasonably warm, rain
that had fallen a few days prior to Saturday’s
races left massive mud holes in some sections
of the track, which claimed several victims over
the course of the day. The rest of the track was
typical with wide open field sections and tight
trails, but that didn’t stop Adam McGill
from taking a spot on the pro podium.
McGill got off to a decent start and charged
his way to the number two spot early in the race.
McGill put the hammer down and made the pass for
the lead late in the first lap. McGill led for
a short time but fell back to second. McGill was
holding his position and kept a steady pace, but
in the fourth lap, he would get slowed down due
to lap traffic and bottlenecks, which put him
back in third place. McGill held down the number
three spot for the rest of the race and took it
all the way to the checkered flag. McGill is still
currently second in points and is hoping to end
his season with a pair of wins at the final two
rounds. “It’s been a good season so
far and I’m happy with how everything has
gone, but I really want to be on top of the podium
for the last two rounds,” stated McGill.

Chris Bithell
was running strong until a stick speared
his radiator causing him to not finish
the race in St. Clairsville
|
Warnert Racing’s Chris Bithell was looking
good as he charged off the starting line and was
in the top five going into the woods. Bithell
charged hard and had worked his way into the number
three spot and looked as if he would be a contender
for the podium, but late in the race, a large
stick impaled his radiator causing all of the
fluid to drain and resulted in a blown fuse, ending
Bithell’s run for the podium. Bithell is
still ranked third in pro points and is hoping
to end his season on the podium as well.

Warnert Racing's
Lexie Coulter took fourth place in the
Women's class. Coulter currently hold
down third place in the Women's class
championship
|
Warnert Racing’s Lexie Coulter held on
to finish in fourth place in the Women’s
class. Coulter was in the top three heading into
the woods in the first lap and held her position
for two laps and only fell back after getting
slowed up by one of the muddy sections of the
track, putting her back o fourth. Coulter held
her position for the remaining two laps to finish
in fourth in her class. Coulter is currently third
in class points and if she finishes strong in
the final two rounds of the season, she could
easily move into second in points.
The Warnert/Foremost Racing team had a solid
run in the Open Modified Side-by-Side class. The
team started off in the top ten and worked their
way through the mud and traffic to reach the number
six spot before crossing the finish line.
Round number twelve of the GNCC series will be
heading to Crawfordsville, IN on October 22 for
the Ironman round where the Warnert Racing team
will be going for the podium.
