St. Cloud, MN (6/1/2011) – Warnert Racing’s Adam McGill and Chris Bithell both made an impressive charge to finish in the top five at round number six of the 2011 GNCC series while in the Women’s class, Lexie Coulter also claimed a top five finish.

Rock Run in Patton, PA was the hosting facility for this round that featured a mainly high speed track, but with an abundance of rocks that proved to be quite treacherous for many racers, but the Warnert Racing team managed to avoid any major incidents.

In the XC1 Pro class, Adam McGill was in mid-pack of the start and charging hard until a bottleneck put him outside of the top ten. McGill was soon able to break free and put in a hard charge that had him gaining five positions in one lap. In the final lap, McGill was able to move into the number four spot before crossing the finish line. “It was a really rough race. There were so many rocks out there. I got hit several times, but I just kept on going because I knew I didn’t want to be outside of the top five,” said McGill, who is currently second in the Pro championship points race with 133 points.

Warnert Racing's Chris Bithell

Warnert Racing’s Chris Bithell also put in an amazing charge after getting slowed up in the woods. “I was in the top five off start, and then five miles in, there was a bottle neck and it was just a split second we were hung up. I got free but then I got t-boned and was back to last. After that I just put the hammer down and came up several positions; I was passing people like crazy,” explained Bithell.

After his impressive charge, Bithell would find himself doing battle with Taylor Kiser. The pair battled for quite a while before Bithell would get sent into a tree not far from the checkered flag and fell back to fifth place. Bithell managed to hang on to his position, rounding out the top five.

In the Women’s class, Lexie Coulter ran a consistent race, holding down the number four spot as she crossed the finish line. Coulter has not finished outside of the top four all season and is currently in second place in the Women’s class points chase and only four points off the lead.

In the Side-by-Side Open Modified class, Warnert Racing’s Kyle Chaney and Denny Napier led for most of the race, until a flat tire slowed them up, but Chaney and Napier held on to claim second in their class and second overall. The Commander ran great and we had a great time out here. We have to thank Warnert, Can-Am and Foremost Insurance for all of their support and were are happy to be on the podium for them,” said Chaney.

Jeremie Dudding was looking solid as he charged off of a second row start in the open modified class. Dudding rode a smooth and consistent race despite getting pelted with rocks several times and held on for a sixth place finish. “Racing UTV’s is a big change for me this season, but we are getting things worked out and everything has been going well for us,” said Dudding.

Round number seven of the 2011 GNCC series will be heading to Snowshoe, WV on June 25th, which is known as one of the toughest and most challenging rounds on the circuit, but the Warnert Racing team will have their sights set on the podium.
