St. Cloud, MN (4/14/2011) –
Warnert Racing’s Adam McGill took his third
straight podium finish at Big Buck while in the
morning classes, Lexie Coulter took the Women’s
class win, giving her the class points lead after
the fourth round of the 2011 GNCC series.
Track conditions in Union, SC were dry but quite
rough and the warm temps and high humidity caught
some racers off guard, but it didn’t seem
to matter much to Adam McGill, who was just coming
off an impressive win at round three and was looking
for another shot at the podium.
McGill charged off the starting line, taking
second in the holeshot. By the third turn, McGill
was on the gas and had taken over the lead. McGill
was looking fast and smooth as he led the race
for four laps. “I stopped to pit in lap
four and Borich got by me then. I caught back
up to him, but I got stuck behind some lappers,”
explained McGill, who ended his day with second
place in the XC1 Pro class.
“I’m just glad to have second in
the points race right now. I have been third for
the last three years, so it feels good to break
that cycle, and I’m hoping to be able to
keep moving forward and hopefully take a few more
wins,” said McGill.

In the morning classes, Lexie Coulter was on
a mission to take another win and she did just
that. It was a tough three way battle for Coulter
as she fought off both Traci Cecco and Kristen
Atwell for most of the race. The addition of an
extra lap in the morning classes was a big deal
for many racers who were already feeling tired,
but it worked out to Coulter’s advantage
as in the final lap, she took over the lead and
held it all the way to the checkered flag, taking
her second Women’s class win of the season
and giving her the points lead in her class.
“We have all been working really hard and
I’m just glad to be able to take another
win for our team,” said Coulter, whose impressive
run also gave her second place on the morning
podium.

In the UTV Open Modified class, Jeremie Dudding

take home a solid fifth place finish.
