Racing's Chris Bithall Takes 3rd Place Overall
|
St. Cloud, MN (10/15/2010) –
It was another successful weekend for the Warnert
Racing team as Chris Bithell claimed a spot on the
Pro podium while Cliff Beasley continued his winning
streak in the morning U2 class and Michael Swift
took another victory in the 4x4 Limited class.
Power Line Park in St. Clairsville, Ohio was
the hosting facility for round 12 of the 2010
GNCC series and saw great weather and an excellent
track that helped propel Chris Bithell to the
podium.
Bithell started out in the top five and was soon
up to the number four spot. Bithell took over
the lead in lap three and led until half way through
lap four. Bithell charged hard and held on for
a third place finish overall. This is Bithell’s
third podium finish of the season, which has put
him into the number four position in points. “It
felt good to be on the podium again. I want to
end my season on a high note so I am going for
the win at the Ironman,” said Bithell.
Teammate Adam McGill got the jump on the competition
and led for the first two laps of the race. McGill
was running strong, but an issue with his brakes
caused him to slow down a bit. McGill still put
in a solid effort and was able to end his day
in the top five. McGill is still in a solid third
in the Pro points championship race as the last
round of the season quickly approaches. “Even
though I didn’t get on the podium this round,
I am still happy for Chris (Bithell). He did a
great job out there,” stated McGill.

Racing's Cliff Beasley takes 12th straight
win in the moning class |
#206 Cliff Beasley extends winning streak with
12th straight win in the morning classes, Cliff
Beasley, who has seemed to be unstoppable this
year, claimed his 12th straight win of the season
in the U2 class. Beasley, who wrapped up the U2
championship before even going into the summer
break, is hoping to end his season on a high note
with another win at the Ironman, which would give
him a perfect season.
4x4 Limited class racer Michael Swift also had
a good race at Power Line. Swift took an early
lead in his class and checked out on the competition.
Swift finished with a time of 01:53:03, which
not only gave him his class win, but also put
him in fourth place overall in the morning classes.
Women’s class racer Lexie Coulter came
on strong as well. Coulter claimed a solid third
place in her class, and her time of 01:53:23 allowed
her to round out the top five overall.
The final round of the 2010 GNCC series will
be held at Crawfordsville, Indiana on October
23rd, where the Warnert Racing team will be going
for wins all around.
