Bryan Buckhanon took his first class win of the season by winning his 4x4 Open class, & the morning overall

St. Cloud, MN (5/26/2010) - Warnert Racing’s 4x4 Open class racer, Bryan Buckhannon, claimed the top spot on the podium in the morning classes at round seven of the 2010 GNCC series while Adam McGill and Chris Bithell would both take top five finishes in the Pro class.

Mountain Ridge in Somerset, PA is notorious as one of the roughest tracks on the circuit and it did not disappoint for this round.

Despite the difficult terrain, 4x4 Open class racer, Bryan Buckhannon would put in an amazing effort, taking not only his class win, but he would also win the morning overall. Buckhannon charged off the line and took an early lead, which he held from start to finish securing his fifth class win of the season.

“It felt great to take a win like that for the team. It was a tough track but my Warnert Racing Can-Am Outlander worked great,” said Buckhannon.

Also in the morning classes, U2 class racer, Cliff Beasley, would take his seventh straight win of the season. “That track was the roughest track we have been on in a long time. I came into the rocky section at mile marker five on the first lap and hit a huge rock that tore up my power steering. That made things really difficult, but I never gave up and I pushed hard,” said Beasley, who is trying for a perfect season.

Michael Swift would take the 4x4 Limited win as well, giving Warnert Racing their third win in the morning classes. “I love rough tracks like this and my Warnert backed Can-Am Outlander got me to the finish line,” said Swift.

In the XC1 Pro class, Chris Bithell was on a mission as he charged off the line and made his way to the front of the pack. Bithell would battle with Chris Borich for the lead for several laps. Bithell was in the lead on the final lap, but he would end up getting hit in the face by a tree branch that would cause him to not be able to see and he would fall back to fourth place before crossing the finish line. “It was a rough track, but I had fun out there. My Can-Am DS450 was running great so I just I tried to ride smart, but also stay fast,” said Bithell.

Adam McGill also had a good race despite the tough conditions. McGill had a good start and was soon working his way up through traffic. McGill would work his way to the number three spot, which is where he would finish his day and claim the final spot on the podium.

Round number eight of the 2010 GNCC series will have the Warnert Racing team heading to Millfield, OH for the Wiseco John Penton round, where Chris Bithell and Adam McGill will be trying to dominate the podium.
