#3 Adam McGill claims a Podium finish
in his Can-Am / Warnert Racing debut
|
River Ranch, FL (3/5/2010) - The
season opener went off with a bang for the Warnert
Racing team with both Adam McGill and Chris Bithell
finishing in the top five, while the A.M class racers
claimed four wins with Lexie Coulter taking the
overall.
Adam McGill, the newest pro racer on the Warnert
team lead the XC1 Pro ATV class for four out of
five laps until he fell victim to a mud hole in
the final lap; however, McGill was not going to
let that stop him as he went on to take the third
spot on the podium and finished only three seconds
behind first. “Today was amazing! I really
have to give a big thank you to Can-Am and the
Warnert team. They have done an amazing job with
the bikes and I am looking forward to being on
the podium a lot this year,” said McGill
excitedly.
Chris Bithell also had a great run as he was
in a close second behind McGill for a good part
of the race. Bithell threw down some of the fastest
lap times of the race with his fastest lap recorded
in lap two with a time of 28:07. Bithell hung
on to take fourth place within seconds of McGill.

Lexie
Coulter claims her 1st Overall ATV win with
her new Can-Am / Warnert Racing Ride |
Lexie Coulter, who is new to the team for 2010,
let it be known that she has every intension of
going for the Women’s championship. Coulter
was fifth off the line and paced herself until
the fourth lap, when she made her move. Coulter
put the hammer down and took over the lead shortly
into lap five, taking the Women’s class
win and her first ever overall A.M. win. “I
was hoping for a good race, but I didn’t
know it was going to be that good!” exclaimed
Coulter, who says that having the full support
of the Warnert team played a big part in her round
one success. “Starting the season with a
win is a great confidence builder and I hope that
I can keep putting the Can-Am on the podium,”
she concluded.
Cliff Beasley, who made the move to the U2 class
this season, seemed to be adapting well to his
new ride, coming away with his first U2 class
win. “It was an easy switch for me. Warnert
has done a great job once again with the bike,
which makes winning easier for me,” stated
Beasley.
Michael Swift and Bryan Buckhannon picked up
right where they both left off last season as
well with Swift taking the 4x4 Limited win and
Buckhannon claiming top honors in the 4x4 Open
class. “Everything went well and I had a
good race,” said Swift. “It was a
good day for our team and I think it’s going
to be an exciting season,” added Buckhannon.
In the College A class, the newest member to
the Warnert team, Jamie Bithell, laid down some
solid lap times to finish second in his class,
in his Warnert Racing debut.
