Australia (10/22/2012) - Luke Gaisford(Honda) raced the third and final round of the 2012 Australian Championships on Oct 13th 14th to seal his second Australian Pro Quad MX Championship, Back to back 2011 and 2012.
The 3 round series throughout 2012 was held across three states, NSW, WA and Victoria where Luke scored 301 Points, winning 2 of the 3 rounds. His nearest rival Ryan Lancaster finished on 297pts with Daniel Middleton on 215pts took 3rd.
Luke was recognized and congratulated by MX Nationals Promoter WEM’s Kevin Williams at the presentations as backing up for your second title in a row is an amazing accomplishment.
Simone Gaisford (Honda) won her First Australian Women’s Quad Motocross Championship on the weekend by a solitary point in front of the 2011 winner Sarah Moore. Melissa Davies finished 3rd. The 19 Year old Gaisford was ecstatic to take the win after finishing 2nd the previous year.
Luke is currently in Canterbury New Zealand preparing for the NZ Quad MX Championships on Oct 20th 21st, against the US Champs Chad Weinen and Josh Creamer, while Simone will take on NZ’s fastest woman Nina McVicar.
